Routes 2 Roots, in collaboration with Kalahetu, organised Windows into Indian Dance 2026
on the occasion of
International Dance Day at Panchsheel Balak Inter College on April 30, 2026. The event witnessed an
engaging
evening of classical and contemporary dance performances, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage.
As we know that dance and song go hand in hand therefore Routes 2 Roots and Kalahetu paid tributes in the loving
memory of Asha Bhosle Ji (1933–2026), recognising her lasting contribution to the Indian arts landscape. The
commemorative presentation aligned with the spirit of the day, highlighting the role of performing arts in
education and cultural continuity.
Featuring a curated lineup of accomplished dancers, the event showcased multiple Indian dance forms viz Odissi,
Bharatanyam, Manipuri, and Kathak, each reflecting strong technical proficiency and narrative depth. The
performances drew appreciation from attendees, including educators, students, and members of the cultural
community.
Through initiatives like Windows into Indian Dance 2026, Routes 2 Roots continues to reinforce
its commitment to integrating arts and culture within the education ecosystem, in line with its
broader vision of experiential and holistic learning.
