Routes 2 Roots has a rich pool of the finest artistes of the country on its faculty. This month Bharatnatyam
dancer and teacher at the Routes 2 Roots cultural education program, Gayatri Deka celebrated the Annual Day
function of her school Natyam. The disciple of Padma Bhushan guru Saroja Vaidyanathan, organised her school’s
special Day with performances by 34 of her students held at the CCRT Auditorium in the Capital. Attended by
hundreds of people from the city, the showcase was inaugurated by Routes 2 Roots Founder Rakesh Gupta, who was
the Chief Guest on the occasion along with Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan’s son and driving force behind her dance
school C V Kamesh. Mr Gupta lit the inaugural lamp and shared inspiring words with the participating students.
He also felicitated the performing students with certificates to applaud their hard work as he congratulated
Gayatri on her commendable work in the field of culture. Here are moments from the memorable celebration.
