As part of the on-going initiative of spreading cultural education among school students of India,
Routes 2 Roots has been organising extensive workshops and other bag-less day activities at PM Shri schools. The
workshops extend up to multiple weeks where students learn from residential gurus engaged by the NGO for
teaching performing Arts and others who impart life skills over day-long sessions. In January, Keyboard, Guitar,
Tabla and Kathak workshops were held along with Yoga and Self Defence workshops through the month across schools
in Mysuru, Rudraprayag and Hathras, while 21st century skills such as Leadership and Communication as well as
other technology-based sessions, Career Guidance and Girls Adolescent Programs were taught in Neemuch and
Dantewada schools. With these sessions, Routes 2 Roots is diversifying its cultural education program and
expanding towards a wider range of skills to be taught to the youth across India, enhancing their education in
new ways.
