Bhangra Workshops of Routes 2 Roots Create Buzz in Schools Under Max India Foundation

Max India Foundation (MIF) has steadfastly supported the initiative of cultural education undertaken by Routes 2 Roots. After championing the cause in 2019 for the first time, they have extended their financial aid to the program consistently over the last seven years adding strength with every passing year. More schools have been added to the fold of the cultural education program of Routes 2 Roots whereby students are not only exposed to cultural classes and workshops by leading artistes of the country but their schools are also upgraded by digitising their classrooms. This month workshops of the Punjab folk dance form Bhangra were conducted in 17 new schools in Delhi NCR, which have been empanelled under the MIF-Routes 2 Roots tie-up. Workshops were curated by the NGO team and conducted by the artiste, who has created a specially designed curriculum to teach the art form and its fundamentals to students in a systematic, chronological way. Students were extremely fascinated and excited to learn the dance, which they have seen in Bollywood films and occasional festivals in their environment. They attended in big numbers and participated in what turned out to be a lot of fun as they learnt the art. Here are some memorable moments from the workshops.
