Routes 2 Routes Welcomes New Batch of International Students
With the successful conclusion of the second year of cultural education classes in across 80 plus countries
globally and the exams of the enrolled students worldwide, Routes 2 Roots welcomed the new batch of students in
July. Enthusiasts of cultural education in 9 different disciplines including Odissi, Bharatnatyam, Kathak,
Bollywood Dance, Hindustani Classical Vocal, Tabla and Madhubani as well as the newly introduced Calligraphy and
Bhangra joined the one-year live certificate courses, which started on 16th July.
Bhangra and Calligraphy Disciplines Introduced This Year
This year two new courses were initiated into the program to widen the expanse of the cultural exposure made
available to the interested participants. The art of Calligraphy is being taught this year form the Beginner
level, through a curriculum based on systematic modules to interested students. This is not just a new art form
but also plays an important role in improving handwriting skills. In addition to this, the folk dance of Bhangra
has been added to the program. The dance form from the vibrant state of Punjab, which has fans across the world
and has been popularised through Indian movies and Pop music is being taught to enrolled students through a set
curriculum as well.
The experts of these nine disciplines started classes attended in big numbers by the enrolled participants from
across the globe. We look forward to another year of spreading the richness of Indian culture around the world.
