Routes 2 Roots Partners with ICCR to Take Indian Art Global through Pilot Classes in Madhubani, Rangoli, Puppetry, and Henna

After the staggering success of live digital classes of classical dance forms Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Odissi held for international students from 64 countries over the month, Routes 2 Roots, once again, collaborated with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to hold pilot sessions of folk as well as popular art forms such as Madhubani Painting, Rangoli Design, Henna Design and Puppet Making. Short courses on the topics were curated to give an elementary understanding of the art forms and teach the enrolled students the rudimentary principles of each. A record-breaking number of enrolments were received for these classes, which started in September and concluded in the month of October. The astounding success of the classes and how much they benefitted the students has sparked off a plethora of requests to hold more in the coming future. The responses have been heartening to see and we are pleased to share some of them.
