Launch of Books on Classical Art Forms
Routes 2 Roots launched its first ever books in 2025. Three books on Hindustani
Classical Vocal Music, Kathak and Bharatanatyam were released in a star-studded launch
event held in the heart of Delhi at the India Habitat Centre on 7th February.

Launch of First Ever Residential Art Camp
|
The first residential Art camp of Routes 2 Roots was organised with the support of Max
India Foundation (MIF) on 23rd, 24th and 25th August, 2025. This camp was the first in
a series being organised by the NGO, which plans to organise these residential
sessions
across India. The three-day camp was conducted by eight artistes who stayed with the
participating students sharing their knowledge in art and training them at the
Panchsheel Balak Intercollege in Noida.

Art Camp Organised in Chandigarh and Inaugurated by Punjab Governor
|
After the runaway success of the first ever three-day residential art camp in Delhi
organised by Routes 2 Roots in August this year, the NGO put up its first ever camp in
the heart of Chandigarh on the occasion of Children’s Day in the month of November.
Hosting 100 students from 17 schools from across Punjab, the camp was a massive
success with the attending students and teachers having an extremely meaningful and
wholesome experience.

Historic MOUs Signed for Cultural Expansion
|
|
This year tie-ups and collaborations were forged with relevant partners to add might
to
the cultural education initiative and to make the movement more impactful in its
reach.
The NGO signed MOUs with various strategic partners such as: Indian Council for
Cultural
Relations (ICCR) and Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) for taking
the cultural education program global to over 65 countries along with certification
for
the students joining the courses; Galgotia University for spreading cultural education
to the university students; the iconic Pracheen Kala Kendra to strengthen its program
with meaningful inputs from the rich institution; Navriti Technologies Private Limited
(NTPL) for assessment of skill and competencies adding more meaning to the cultural
education program and a tie-up was entered into with NASSCOM Foundation to support
schools jointly with books, expert mentoring sessions and career counselling.

15-day School Cinema International Film Festival (SCIFF) Held
|
In association with LXL Foundation, a body that executes SCIFF by producing and
acquiring school cinema from across the world, Routes 2 Roots hosted an online film
festival for millions of students across India. This festival is designed and curated
by
LXL especially for school students and was hosted by the NGO completely free of cost
for
member schools.

December was a month of new tie-ups, expansions and recognition of the work being done on
ground.

Routes 2 Roots Founder Conferred Global Peace Humanity Award, 2025
|
|
|
|
The World Human Rights Organisation honoured Routes 2 Roots Founder Rakesh Gupta through
the
Global Peace & Humanity Award 2025 for the exemplary work done by the NGO over the last
two
decades for promoting peace through cultural exchange.

BMW Foundation Extends CSR Support to Routes 2 Roots
|
|
|
|
The BMW Foundation has been one of our key supporters in the cultural education movement. With their
financial aid which was extended earlier this year, more schools were added to the
program to provide cultural awareness and education to lakhs of students. This month the
aid was further extended by the Foundation which essentially enables the NGO to spread
the program’s reach to more students across the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh,
Telangana, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.

Routes 2 Roots Ushers in Winter Fun with Bag-Less Days at PM Shri Schools
|
|
|
|
Routes 2 Roots runs specialised workshops conducted by artistes of classical and folk
art
forms as well as experts in other life enhancing skills for the PM Shri schools. These
are
intensive sessions, which are often residential in nature and involve in-depth training
of
students lasting a few weeks, as the visiting experts and exponents stay at the campus
for the
duration of the workshops.
