Global Launch of Online Interactive Cultural Courses in 11 Indian Art Forms

In a significant cultural milestone, Routes 2 Roots, in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, has launched Online Live Interactive Courses in 11 Indian classical and folk art forms. The initiative aims to bring India’s rich artistic traditions to a global audience through accessible, expert-led digital learning.

The courses span a wide array of disciplines, including Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Bollywood Dance, Mehndi, Madhubani Painting, Rangoli, Puppet Making, Hindustani Classical Vocal, Harmonium, and Tabla. Delivered in a live, interactive format, the courses allow participants worldwide to engage in specially curated lesson forms taught real-time by professional artists and cultural educators.

As part of a coordinated global outreach, ICCR centers and Indian embassies worldwide are actively promoting this initiative through their social media feeds, newsletters, and other communication channels, taking India to the world.

This collaborative effort reflects India’s ongoing commitment to cultural diplomacy and heritage education, inviting learners everywhere to experience the vibrancy of Indian art and tradition—virtually and authentically. All these courses are certificate courses which will be assessed by UPRTOU University at the end of the session.
