As part of the PM Shri initiative, Routes 2 Roots conducted a series of impactful holistic development
activities for students across schools in Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Uttarakhand,
reaching diverse school communities and strengthening holistic development in education.
The workshops covered a wide spectrum of themes, including 21st Century Skills, Citizenship Skills, Bagless
Days, Career Guidance and Counselling, Cyber Safety Awareness, the Adolescence Girls Program, Eminent Expert
Interactions, and Green School initiatives. In addition, the NGO organised dedicated sessions on Mental Health
and Well-being for teachers, recognising and acknowledging the vital role educators play in shaping young minds
and ensuring their emotional resilience and professional balance.
A key highlight of these initiatives was focus on utilising local resources and community expertise. The
sessions were done in collaboration with local educators, professionals and community members to make the
activities more relevant, contextual and impactful. Rather than limiting the workshops to formal classroom
sessions, they were designed engaging, hands-on experiences—incorporating fun facts, interactive activities,
practical demonstrations, group discussions and creative exercises. This approach ensured active participation,
experiential learning and deeper understanding among students and teachers alike.
Through these efforts, education has been enriched while also fostered life skills, environmental awareness,
digital responsibility, career readiness and emotional well-being—creating a more vibrant, inclusive and
future-ready learning environment.
