The International Cultural Education program of Routes 2 Roots run in collaboration with Indian Council for
Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) has completed its third
year successfully. With assessments in nine disciplines of classical and folk arts conducted by the faculty and
examiners concluding in June, students from 88 different countries worldwide received their certification for
the respective courses and levels in which they were enrolled.
With the ending of a third year including the pilot, the program has become a solid pillar of Indian cultural
canvas, spreading the light of the heritage globally in a meaningful way. The platform is not just showcasing
the art forms, it has become a beacon of knowledge and learning by enabling those who aspire to connect to
India’s rich culture while being away from the country, including those from other nationalities. It has also
become the dais for the most gifted artistes of dance, music and visual arts to share their knowledge and
talent, passing on the torch of their art forms and heritage as guides and faculty on the program.
We end this year, even as we gear up for our new sessions and batches in existing and new disciplines in July,
with gratitude to all our partners who strive with us to strengthen our endeavour.
