BMW India Foundation Provides CSR Funding for
Digital Education Program

BMW India Foundation adds its might to Routes 2
Roots in their endeavour to provide digital
education to students across the country through its
CSR funding. With the support of the mega brand
coming in, the NGO will be able to further expand
its program of digital education of performing arts,
digitising marginalised schools of the country and
offering them digital classes by leading exponents.

As part of Max India Foundation’s ongoing support to
Routes 2 Roots and its work of disseminating classes
and workshops of performing arts, this month
workshops were conducted in the new schools adopted
under the program. Actors from leading Theatre
repertory companies of Delhi on the panel of the NGO
were sent to conduct workshops of Nukkad Natak or
Street Theatre for children in the underprivileged
schools of Ropar district in Punjab.

Global through Pilot Classes in Madhubani, Rangoli,
Puppetry, and Henna

After the staggering success of live digital classes
of classical dance forms Kathak, Bharatnatyam and
Odissi held for international students from 64
countries over the month, Routes 2 Roots, once
again, collaborated with the Indian Council for
Cultural Relations (ICCR) to hold pilot sessions of
folk as well as popular art forms such as Madhubani
Painting, Rangoli Design, Henna Design and Puppet
Making.

of Routes 2 Roots

Routes 2 Roots experts of performing arts spread the
light of culture among the students of schools in
many parts of the country. While Odissi was the
dance form that was taught in Baikunthpur,
Ambikapur, Korba, Janjgir, Bilaspur, Raipur, Bhilai,
Kurud and Dongargarh districts of Chhattisgarh as
well as Panagarh, Bardhaman, Durgapur, Adra, Andal,
Asansol, Ishapore, Barrackpur, Berhampore and
Kolkata in West Bengal, Bihar’s Sasaram, Gaya,
Nalanda, Harnaut, Barauni, Mokama Ghat and Garhara
opted for Hindustani Classical Vocal.
