The Year at a Glance!
It has been a momentous year for Routes 2 Roots with many
new milestones reached and honours achieved. Here’s a
rear-view mirror with the highlights of the year 2023
Routes 2 Roots received the Limca Book of Records
for running the world’s largest cultural education
program impacting over 20 million students.
A new dimension for raising of funds for Routes 2
Roots emerged as the NGO got registered on the
National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange
under a special scheme introduced by the government.
Routes 2 Roots made its foray into college education
through a special tie-up with the Government of
Uttarakhand to provide its digital cultural
education classes to the colleges in the state. With
this the cultural education program of the NGO
spread its reach to yet another important segment of
the country’s youth.
In association with IRobokid, Routes 2 Roots hosted
a conference on merging culture and STEM for a
better and progressive India. The event was attended
by the luminaries of the educational sector of the
country.
In another first, and taking forward its objective
of making education inclusive for every section of
the population, Routes 2 Roots started a pilot for
the tribal and minority communities of Telangana and
Andhra Pradesh by bringing their institutions into
the fold of the cultural education program.
After the stupendous success of its pilot on
international classes of Kathak, Routes 2 Roots
strengthened its tie up with Indian Council for
Cultural relations (ICCR) by starting regular
international classes in not just one discipline of
performing arts but expanding it to three dance
forms including Bharatnatyam and Odissi as well for
students across the world.
The NGO spent the year successfully expanding its
reach to many new institutions, which included all
the NDMC, Delhi Municipal as well as the Delhi
Government schools. It also started cultural
education classes for Special child care institutes.
The year ended on a high with a sense of fulfilment
and a resolve to strengthen the program and provide
inclusive and 360-degree cultural education to every
strata of this beautiful and diverse country.
